A good parental figure isn't one who is considered good because of the materialistic things they leave behind. A good parental figure is good because of what they instill in their children. Your parent would not be considered to be good because they left you a pair of Jordans, clothes, or money. They would be a good parent if they taught you sentimental things. Eventually the materialistic things perish, but sentimental values last. Like love is forever, and money is temporary.
